enough about baseball, what's up with you?
to kick off another installment of sober in october®, i thought i'd tell you all a story about spam.
i, like many, am very curious about the origins of spam (the junk email, not the hawaiian canned meat sensation), and any time i get spam from an AOL address, i always add the handle to my buddy list to see if it's a real person.
take, for example, retep0201. in november of 06, i received this email:
Retep0201 signed on at 10:37:27 AM.
jezabel245: SPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM
jezabel245: guess what
jezabel245: i like spammers

i am a kodak member-ur e mail or how you sent it wants me to be a member but i am and have been long time so long that i forget my password so just send it to me as an email and we will look at it. as i said we were busy busy and gone to the baltic and amsterdam for 3 weeks on a cruise out of amsterdam after several days there. what have you been doing? have picture of carmen and me at dinner on ship and will send soon to show we are still alive and kicking. our grand kids are 19 and 17 (susie's) and 3 year and 18 months (michel's)-dianne 000000000.
